For competitive pricing: there are three major network operators in the US: Att, T-Mobile/Sprint, and Verizon. As far as I know all the other "cell" companies buy network time wholesale from one of the preceding and rebrand it and sell it as their own and they are called "MVNO" here's a list from wikipedia which may or may not be up to date.

Sometimes an MVNO will offer a more competitive price than one of the major players for fewer options. So you need to know what you really need and what major player has good cell tower coverage in your area and do some research on each candidate company.
For me, I like Att service and would steer toward an MVNO which offers Att service.
Any suggestions on where to go for competitive pricing?
My 2020 plan was to cancel everything att and not deal with the company any longer. I have completed my plan and I do not have to deal with att anymore and they are completely out of my life.
