Imagine busting your behind for years for your job and then told you have to take an assessment that is based on a senseless questionaire and stupid puzzle? Lol like are you kidding me?? I remember one question I had to pick between was “if I find a task too hard, I would leave it for someone else Versus “Some of my colleagues would say I’m disorganized”... like WTF???? Are you kidding me??? How is this legal? LOL

Allstate always pushes how well they treat their employees, but they treat em like dirt. Yeah, yeah they have benefits, but most companies offer benefits. Mostly it is the senior leadership - they are a little click of their own. They promote who they want to promote, even though there is someone else who is more qualified for the position. It's a popularity contest and if the senior leaders/supervisors/tsl's, etc like you - you are good to go. Promotions are not given to those who qualify but to those who are "yes" people. Why don't they lay off the senior leadership and let their cohorts fill the positions? They won't because leadership hides stuff from the main office in IL. You can be loyal to this company and in the end it is all about the Benjamin's.

I quit yesterday after 10 years as an auto field adjuster. Enough is enough. This place has gotten to be a horrible place to work.

While I think this entire situation is ridiculous I'm also shaking my head at how foolish everyone is being about the assessment questions. They are behavioral. If they have you "would you stab a child or feed the poor" everyone (except maybe the leadership within the company) would pick feed the poor.

For the record the right answer is that some co-workers would say you are disorganized. Leaving things for others is a deliberate decision you are making and admitting to. The other option isn't a positive but it isn't a deliberate decision on your part and it's an assessment by another party not something you are staying inherently about yourself. It's about behavior and critical thinking.

I planned to just give them typical corporate yes-man answers but the “test” truly made no sense, then followed by a low grade candy crush, this company has truly gone off the rails at this point, I’ve never seen anything like it. They are destroying this company, I don’t think employee morale is ever going to recover and profits are going to tank
