Ignore Home Office Shills

If you see someone start or comment in a thread telling you to apply for other jobs now, that is a Home Office shill trying to prevent the company from paying as much severance as possible. Do not fall for it. If you get laid off, stay the 60s days and get make them pay.

OP that is one way to look at it.

The other is, the ones who 'survive' the assessments are going to wind up being asked to do more work for the same pay.

My vote? Those who survive the assessments should all find new jobs anyway. The only way Allstate will stop their greed is by seeing their Customer service experience meet 'Mayhem' because they're too short staffed to do anything.

It all depends on how long you've been with the company, and if you can find a job paying more than you make now, though that might be difficult with COVID running around. It would probably make sense to jump ship then.

Otherwise, yeah. Just stay and get your severance.
