Exxon to suspend company match to employee retirement plans in Oct - sources

HOUSTON (Reuters) - Exxon Mobil Corp told employees it would begin suspending the employer match to retirement savings plans beginning in early October, said sources who received a message from the company on Tuesday.

Are you kidding? Airlines cut their schedules way back. Oil contracts had negative prices a few months back. Nobody is driving as much as they did. Exxon reported earnings a few days ago and they were the worst in over 15 years.

Given all that bad news though, they said they’d just cut company matching...bravo that so they’re not quick to lay off people (at least not yet).
