Job placement assistance lie

Remember in the 80 Pages you signed when you left and there was a part in there that within 20 days a job counselor would call you to help you find a real job? Another lie. Been gone 90 days and nothing. Anyone else get any placement assistance?

I wouldn’t trust this company to do anything for you. Elitists who have no problem ruining your life that are clueless! No thanks! They will only last so long!

Glad to be Taking the package because my physical/mental health can't take it anymore. Worried by the thought of job hunting right now since I'm not quite retirement age yet. I'm guessing there's not a lot out there due to the pandemic. Job assistance would be great, but surprised if it occurred.

I didn't even see this in the paperwork. Is it a Quest only thing?

The only thing the job placement vendor will do is set you up an account to search for jobs. They will help you with your resume. They are not a recruiting service.

A hard decision but when you are the oldest guy in a dept and most seniority,
with twice the workforce they need, you know they are going to get you with the standard package rather than enhanced no penalty. It makes it a rather easy decision. One way or the other, you are going to be out in coronaville looking for work.
The biggest problem I had was convincing the new place I wasn't a "lazy CTL tech" because of the reputation of the place. There are jobs. But, you probably aren't going to make what you did at CTL.

Contractors will contact you before you have even left. Company will waive the 6 month no working for contractors clause if it benefits them.

For those of us trying to decide what to do about the offer it's like being betwee a rock and a hard place. The Company is falling apart, the atmosphere is toxic But we are in a pandemic which is going to make job hunting a lot harder. I think it's valid to expect something more than ziprecruiter.
