The unions actions revolve around taking care of I&R. Thats how those guys were given the test answers. That department makes atleast 25 to 40G’s per person in OT over the years. My department couldn’t afford to buy paper for the copy machine. 10 years later and those guys 300 G’s richer, they push them in to ruin our department. From day one they already show no respect for anybody or their property. Bunch of slobs.

What about the people who did not pass the test previously? They weren’t able to take it on a ipad or in groups at the hall or wherever. Why would this be allowed for I&R?

My group lost 8 with up to 48yrs to the moa sipp and replaced them with 8 I&R transfers who have 4-8 months more time then me. Bottom of the list 4ever. We were also told like @qqb headcount reductions would be by attrition due to so many who will someday leave. Now one week in with the new people and the next surplus buzz is alive and well. It was a calculated deal from the start. They even let the guys take the CO tkt in groups with their IPADS to move them in.

The company and IBEW just p-ss-d off a lot of I&R, Construction and Central Office people who will likely tell them to pack sand the next couple of SIPP rounds, unless they are really dying to leave. So it may be worse than usual for the low guys hoping to take retiring folks' spots. I hope not.

I beg to differ! I’m in an Out of Region area of the country and it seems like T is trying to grow the business in those states. That means having to hire more technicians to do the installation of whichever service is sold to a particular customer. Someone seems to think all this business is coming down the pike, but I have yet to see it!

Agree. Headcount reduction by attrition went out the window when this deal was cut. The company and union just changed WHO will be cut in September.

It doesn’t matter where you work (department) you are a (pick your title) and on a list from lowest to highest so “group not deemed at risk” is not possible. Your at risk if you have 20 years in all titles period.

Our group had a bunch come in with more time too. It stinks. They pushed some of us who have been here 20 years to the bottom of the list. The guys we waited on to leave for the last 15 years all sipped out. The September cuts will seal the deal for us.
