I don't know why T doesn't go in big into the video game market . Provide a new console , video game streaming feeds, buy up all the Indie game manufacturer's and start pushing Sony and Microsoft for market share. That's where the future growth of money is .

OMG. He should have exercised his right to remain silent. Doesn't know where the coverage gaps are? Ever asked your own people? Hint: They've been submitting funding requests for decades to cover network gaps. So have municipalities.
Aaand, the company has taken billions in federal subsidies already to build out rural areas - I guess those were never really done? And he just admitted that?
If they had used those funds for the intended purpose during the last 10 years, the network would have been done by now. And now he wants more subsidies to pay again for build-outs they never did, but reported that they were? See other posts on this forum..
Recognize that he is not asking for the noble purpose of helping the disadvantaged - but because he wants somebody else to pay it, then claim subscriber growth. No network, no sub. They've frittered away all previous subsidies already, have nothing to show for, and COVID finally proved it.
I seriously want to know where all the millions went; they sure were not spent on neither network nor employees. I too am a taxpayer. I paid my taxes for stuff like this to get done.
I worked for a SEVP whose edict was all travel must be approved by him AND we had to take a company car AND unless the travel was over 50 miles, we couldn't buy lunch on the purchasing card.
Problem was that stupid j–koff didn't realize that we shared 1 company car amongst 150 of us managers and probably another 200 occupationals. He also stated that we had to come to work first then take that company car to the field. His excuse was that if we took our personal car and had a wreck then we were not covered by insurance. O.K.
One morning as I was coming to work I received a call from the field that they had an emergency situation and they needed my expertise. Told them nope, have to go to my reporting location first, get a company car and then drive the 40 miles and btw I will have to leave and go home for lunch as that JkAzz edicted no lunch on the company dime. I guess the SEVP thought since he was screwing the company, use worker bees were also. I get to work and guess what, no company car. Told the field I didn't have a company car to get there. I got a call from the SEVP telling me to take my car. I explained that he was correct in that I wasn't covered by insurance and didn't have a car. They found me a company car and I drove to the problem office, the office was a FCC reportable. As I was repairing the problem, lunch time, told the field management that I had to go for home for lunch and I told them why. My blood sugar required me to eat specific way, their upper management was contacted and they catered in my food. After I fixed their problem, I was called into SEVP office and that jerk lit into me, I said excuse me, called his boss, explained the problem. That SEVP was relocated ASAP - guess he didn't know my cousin was on the BoD's and I knew his boss.
This place is the blind leading the blind.

Translation: We wanted to sell DirecTV but couldn't because it's pretty much worthless. We wanted to sell Xander because we realize we are not capable of competing with Google or Facebook, but we can't....so now we'll pretend that we can get HBO Max into 70% of the country even though we can't even get it on Firestick or Roku and most of our subscribers don't even know they have something "more" than the generic HBO they signed up for.

Ratty and Stinky already wasted all the borrowing power of T, and the revenue is needed to pay off Ratty overpaid mergers instead of being available for network capital improvement. Too late Stinky to fix Ratty and your mistakes.

Stankey is a Mo$ron - he needs to first answer why he wasted $B to acquire DTV. .... he has no issue stealing $M and unjustified pay raises, but I do remember at one point he asked employees travelling for business to pay for Internet charges from their own pocket while working... shame on you Stinky
