Thread regarding Allstate Corp. layoffs

Is auto field ever going back on the road?

I get no information from my boss (not his fault, I’m sure they don’t tell him anything) but is the field ever going back out? Are we all going to be absorbed into permanent virtual or laid off? Several field adjusters have already left voluntarily in my state. Are they ever going to take back the company car? What is going on????

They’re trying to force shops to use VA in hopes they can eliminate more field adjuster positions. It’s going to be like 3 years ago when they laid off so many field adjusters then offered some of them their jobs back . They are hoping VA catches on sooner than later . My guess is they’ll have field adjusters that remain do a mix of VA and field work .

I don’t work for Allstate anymore but Allstate field techs are back on the road in my area.

I guess it’s because some people rely on the car for personal use, so if they no longer have it they have to budget for a vehicle, if they aren’t laid off that is

Im not a field appraiser but I'm curious, with the company cars. Yall have to pay for them even though its being used for their claims, is that right?

This is the second post here I've seen about company cars. It feels very "does anyone know how they plan to arrange the deck chairs on the Titanic?" to me.
I'm guessing they have no idea, and will figure it out as they go. With Hertz dumping a bunch of rolling stock on the market I'm guessing that for now its worth more as the pay deduction they take for personal use. If you're laid off they may give you the option to buy the car or just send the repo man.
