If anything was going to happen in Q3 it would have started one or two weeks ago.

The projection spans out till next year and not only this year where air travel remains absolutely bleak. Even with the vaccine available, air travel will never be back to normal. With the ability of virtual meetings and the course of doing business on-line made more acceptable, business travels will be almost non-existent except for the occasional ribbon-cutting event where physical presence is needed.
Tourist travels will slowly resume but with a much tighter budget either due to families knowing that savings do become paramount after learning and preparing for any next ordeal or airlines going on a lowest possible fare to regain lost business. This directly impacts suppliers to the airlines with having to make margins. Welcome to the new norm. If you can’t take it, move on to another industry. Once hailed as the pinnacle of technology with many great things going for it, aviation has just been pushed to a point where it will never to get the same recognition.

It's all par for the course. Mad dog needs to dump all the legacy product lines and associated buildings/people anyway so as the business shrinks in size, so will the headcount. This will not stop until all of the employees not associated with the "new" aero have been let go and those product lines sold off. Think HTF/TFE/CFE and all the 131/331/36 series APUs. We are right now transferring wealth from HON to these companies as they buy up product lines. It's an investment for them as the returns will be infinite and HON will triumphantly make one or two more quarters and then it's lights out, folks. Not in D&S? Don't know how to write code or you don't live in India? Bummer dude because you're out.
