Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Expect a much better environment before the end of the year

Now that we’ve gotten through massive headcount reductions, speaking from a management-side perspective, expect things to now settle down as costs are finally under control, non-producing assets and products are off the books, and leadership can now finally fully implement their business plan. The future at AT&T is bright indeed.

The future will be brighter, because you wont be employed by AT&T. Get real.

OP here...Yeah, I was mess in’ with y’all. No hard feelings please. I just couldn’t resist. I know as well as anyone, this place is going down the toilet at an astonishing rate. I truly cannot believe that the leadership team is this inept, and sick so bad, but reality speaks for itself.

Only if you collaborate.
Get nano degrees.
Badges and kiss butt.
Use term like "team" and "paradigm".
"Exceed expectations"
You are either very naive, or a mo–n.
Or both.
It's a job. They pay if you work.
Their only regret is you're not gone yet....but give them time.
Folks like you never make it.

So they finally have a business plan? As in, they didn't have one before? THAT'll explain a few things... And whatever happened to the last 10 'business plans' that were supposed to save the day? How is this one different? Oh wait, it isn't... because that last 10 were also surplus-transform/reorg-walk off and call it a success..

If the future of ATT is so bright, why has the stock been tanking with no recovery to pre-Covid numbers in sight?

Obviously this is satire, so thanks for that. Everything we do will continue to stagnate, then get sold at a great loss. AT&T has been an entity for the top leadership to extract personal wealth out of for themselves

Hold on a second, speed racer.

Which cost is under control? Executive pay and golden parachute certainly isn't.

Which non-producing assets and products are off the books? You still have Stank and gang running the show, producing low quality videos for employee which no one cares and not revenue.

Leadership can now finally fully implement their business plan. What plan? The one with 1-2% revenue growth, throw that into the fire now with Covid19.

I'm management, and I don't know WTF management-side perspective you're talking about.

Is this after they freeze the pensions so Wall Street can continue to get their dividend ?.

GTFOH, back in 2015 there was a plan that randy executed which resulted in the failed t-,mobile deal. the purchase of DTV well over its market value and the purchase of time warner. Look where that well-executed plan got AT&T. So what do they do in 2020, come up with a three year plan..i hate to see what this Co will look like in the next 3 years.

There is still a mountain of debt and the pressure to maintain the dividend. DTV will continue to be a drag on the company!!

It’s a 3 year plan. Maybe “the management perspective” didn’t get the memo.
I don’t know anyone in mgmt who feels things will settle down.
