In my neighborhood in north Atlanta, upper middle class neighborhood, I have only been able to get uverse broadband with max 16-20 megs they sell for past 10 years or so. In that time, Comcast has gone to 60, 100, 200 and now 1 Gig. At first I just had Comcast for TV and then dropped my 3 megs DSL sercice and not gone back to AT&T. I still every so often get something in the mail touting our AT&T broadband and DirecTV service in my area. Even at my Costco they got young men trying to sell that combo, and one time I had them check my service address and same thing. It is amazing that AT&T dropped the ball on broadband service. I guess this is what happens when all the capital the company has goes for these purchases of DirecTV and Warner Media and the rest for dividends. It was so simple to just invest in our core telecom. They need to fire Stankey who was behind every id–tic Randall decision, and promote McElfresh to CEO already (or hire someone like the guy Verizon hired whose focus is engineering and network alone). The longer Stankey stays in place and tries to push dollars towards Time Warner, the more chances this company is going under.

in 2016 in GA, our 2nd level walked into a manager meeting and said, "Everything that is Pending U-Verse JDSU testing, must be completed in a week from today....That us all I have to say...So Do what you must to make this happen" and left the room after 5 minutes.
It was like a miracle , 40% of pending OSP Engineering work orders clear with a push of a button...AT&T ROCKS!!

Yep happened in N.C. too, placed fiber in project areas that no one could afford or placed in subdivisions that were 80% abandoned due to flooding from hurricanes.
There's a regional telco run out if Mississippi who I guarantee is giving the state information on T's shady practices. Lucky for them, it's one state that's not in the company's pocket.
T gets away with this kind of stuff everywhere else because they're buying state politicians who'll look the other way. This is exactly why they gave trump's lawyer hundreds of thousands of dollars.
It's how the game is played and it's just one of the thousands of things around with our political system.
I saw many projects where Mastec opened pits, and closed them months later without anyone doing any work.

Sounds familiar, they've done that in other states, too. Big press release that 100 units are turned up for U-verse broadband on the outskirts of town. Drove by - all there was were 3 run down single-wides for miles around. Reported it up the chain. Got told to keep my mouth shut. Oookaay.. Good for Mississippi requesting proof!

can't make this stuff up. wouldn't want their fiber if they gave it to me att can enjoy their own fiber nobody needs att and they can all sit in a circle singing kumbiyah telling each other how smart they are with all their nano degrees. they are too smart for us dumb customers
