There are moments that I used to love this company but not anymore. I understand that this company is bloated and it is difficult to keep up with other major insurance companies but to lay off employees who needed this job at the worst possible moment is heartless. I don’t know if any of the chief execs have taken pay cuts, but if they haven’t - why not? Other companies are doing it.

I’m curious...when is it a good time to be laid off?
We were told to take it personal that they were looking at more like boxes. That even worse because it means all the worse work, long hours and dedication to the job meant nothing. Just a box and disposable.
We're all expendable. We're not "real" people to the higher ups. We're merely replaceable cogs in the machine to be swapped out every few years for "better" (aka cheaper) parts.
That's just the harsh reality of corporate America.
You make a great point and raise a valid question. Perhaps a reporter will ask our CEO, but I’m certain Wall Street will answer it. My guess is it won’t be favorable.
The key is a sense of honor. As we become more technocratic, humans will continue being dehumanized.
