AT&T seems like a completely different company compared to as recently as ten years ago. All I'm gettin these days is negative feedback. Efforts to keep employees engaged are a thing of a past. Honestly, is there anybody who can say they work in a department that still cares about its teams and actually puts in some effort to better employees lives?

It hasn't been AT&T since SBC aquired the company and the name in 2007. This is merely a shell of what AT&T had been. Better yet were the days before the labs and AT&T were forced to split.
How many times have you been in a call with these h1b s and vendors saying “I’m sorry I did not understand you. Can you repeat what you just said?”

Soon there won't be enough cash flow to support that dividend then the stock will crash.
When they started bringing in H1B's, that was headed up by Stankey. I recall Stankey being in a town hall to a large crowd of AT&T IT workers, telling them if they didn't like working with H1B overseas contractors, to go get a job at Jiffy Lube. Stankey's opinion of the AT&T IT worker is that we are only good enough to change used motor oil. And it still looks like his opinion of the employee 20 years ago, is still the same today.
When a company cannot grow revenue organically but only through acquisitions and financial engineering, a disaster looms on the horizon.
Yes when you bring in H1B's, and farm out the core of your operations, business, and basic core, and have managers manage contractors, you've in affect sold your company. It's a like a drone plane running out of fuel and headed toward the mountain.
What you are pointing out is the wreck that RS made of the company. CEO in 2007, and then his 202o vision, all in between a mess with failed T-Mo acquisition, bought DTV for fun, then bought WM + CNN for giggles, added in a few smaller companies that have felt the kiss of death that the Death Star brings. Yes, I'd say RS has done very well at k–ling this once great company.
The current period reminds me of the decline of T in the late 90's. But in an slightly different way.
Back in the 90's we had Mr. Armstrong, that was buying up cable properties, put together a great wireless franchise, and had a plan.
Then the IDI0TS on the Board of Misdirectors could not figure out how Bernie Ebbers was committing financial fraud, and so they acted and ditched Mr. Armstrong, sold off all the wonderful assets he put together and sold them for a nickel on the $, and put T in the ditch with huge debt and setup us up for a decline.
This time, we had Ratty, Stinky and the other IDI0Ts on the Board of Misdirectors that could not see that Ratty's financial engineering was fatally flawed, poorly executed, and directed T to financial failure and eventual break up or bankruptcy.
The common thread is the in both cases the Board of MisDirectors were a bunch of M0R0NS. That is what was the common thread.
I agree; I feel it started going downhill in 2007, but the past 10 years in particular have been really bad. Once they started bringing in the H1Bs, that was the end of AT&T being a great career for Americans. RS was a disaster for this company.
