It's not just the Ad side that's a disaster...
dead on.
And while it’s easy to see that HBO Max was the brainchild of a room full of executives looking to squeeze assets for some fast cash, AT&T appears pretty well-positioned to shoot itself in the foot regardless of how it moves forward.
Increasingly, it’s looking like the grand ambitions of Quibi were not, shockingly, the worst streaming idea of 2020. And folks, that’s saying something.
My jaw dropped when I read, "existing agreements with cable distributors as well as studios...have licensing deals with HBO under the specific condition that content remains ad-free."
Good thing T bought AppNexus / Xandr for ads ... oh no, wait a second, they're trying to sell it now;

What a disaster. It's a real shame so many people have had their lives turned upside down because the c-suite clowns have no idea what they're doing in any corner of the business.
It is depressing for those of us that have been here for the 9 year slide from 2001 to present . We were a company full of money and promise and then ... and then ... RS started talking about his grand vision that would totally remake our company , and if you wanted to be part of his grand design you had better keep yourself Relevant !! He used the word RELEVANT a thousand times if he used it once !!! So very sad .
But but but we have cash flow and dividend. Ain’t it great.
The RS & JS's experiments are over...
Time to Start from scratch with new CEO and board of directors before is 2 late
Why do they need ads, aren't subscribers already paying for content , all this points to is signs of desperation for T for $$$ .. then they wonder why they have so much churn.... Maybe instead of spending millions on AI models why people leave they should spend a little on common sense business
Nohing pissitive about AT&T, LOL
