If Daunt was smart, he'd take a good look at the group of long-term losers that have been hanging on for years. And it all comes down to the vindictive district managers with no good ideas on how to make the stores better and their patsy store managers.

I am an ex-manager and I know exactly who they're talking about. They're all disgusting and should never have been put in those positions.
Does anyone hear of any GOOD companies? I'm so sick of B&N it's depressing, too stressful and too many bad managers.
We got a new mgr in an upstate NY Location. She was coming down hard on the 2 Black employees, made their lives miserable. They left. She’s in LI now, I believe.
When you see dozens of good, hard working people continuously go out the doors- it's BAD MANAGEMENT!

Yeah, i expected Daunt to bring in a newer team, instead of promoting the
old guard that screwed this place up, for years.
I'm glad these women have been exposed. I've worked there too, we all know about this site. They've treated too many good people like garbage and even made fun of them in public. No professionalism or class whatsoever. At the very least, everyone who knows them will now be reading this and realize exactly the type of people they are. It's a good thing one of them is retiring, it's the best thing for what's left of the company. Plus only an id–t would hire any of them.
Vent if you need to, but recognize that if she is as terrible as you say she is, and she still got promoted, the company isn't a place you want to be anyway.

It's funny that this Regional Manager always hated the woman who wanted her own store and kept her from getting it for years. Guess she saw her wretched self in her and didn't trust her! Haha.
