Great article

Not so long ago I thought the strategy was relatively sound but kept face planting in execution - maybe it was a flawed strategy all along

3rd in wireless (oh there are only 3 companies in this space)

Somewhere south of 5th in Streaming

But 1st in Debt!

Time to cut some more needless and unproductive staff from the organization. C-Level folks are safe, however. That is... Until someone in India figures out how to outsource those roles too. LOL

Interesting that my post got a bunch of down votes. For the people who voted down, what did you vote down? I’m curious.

Could it also be that Disney delivers mostly family (but politically correct) entertainment while hbo is both delivers political garbage (Oliver and Maher) entertainment That is not family friendly and they have anti American cnn. That may soil att too.

The biggest problem is the debt of course. And with income not rising fast enough to pay down debt it will be rough.

As for me I’m being really care since I’m m not here. If I was employed I would feel bad for the people who will be impacted negatively. However since I’m still unemployed I don’t give a damn.

I don't see Stankey leaving anytime soon. The Board doesn't care; they put up with Randall's antics for years. Each executive brings their own spin, and tells everyone to believe that "This time it will be different!" The truth is, they can't admit they they were wrong in regards to strategy, acquisitions, focus, and delivery. That's the equivalent to s–c-de to their reputation and ego.

All this points to is deep cuts coming soon, realistically I see Stankey leaving before the end of the year, the Board will eventually tire of all these losses and some major regime change will happen
