Well, I care. Almost half of my team is gone in this round. I even cried after I heard the news. I avoided to talk to them over the weekend, so that I can pretend it's not true. But on Monday when I called them one by one it's still feel soooooo somber. Sure we'll still be friends, but this workplace is gonna to be lonely at least for a while. I was not thinking that it was lucky it's them, not me. Actually I was thinking it's better to be me who got impacted, not them. They have a family to feed, mortgage to pay, but I don't. I am single in a rental, I am still young and can get another job perhaps easier than them, so if it falls on me, it would be much easier. Everyone of my colleague is just so nice. It's gonna take me quite a well to recover.

All the oldies 'n crankies on my team have been booted out. Now it is us the youngies enjoying the sip at the cooler. I feel more relaxed and less stressed. Pheeeeeeeeeeeeeew!!

What is the point of this stupid post ... everyone is for themselves when it comes down to it.

Well I had a great time playing Pokemon Go Fest 2020 this weekend. It was a blast. And on Monday I still have a job. Working from home. Software engineering R&D folks. Great pay. Easy work - when you're a genius like me.

I reach arounds from everyone in my group and a happy ending too. Ya, I am sure vader wants to make sure everyone had a good ending. More like don't let the door hit you on the way out

They Care! I got a Sams Club sheet cake, Yummy! And everyone signed my Good Luck Card. That cake was soo good, cushioned the blow of losing my job cause the buttercream made me forget that i cant pay my mortgage. My Co-workers care! They said they would keep in touch so I am awaiting all their calls and texts.

When I was laid off,I was also considered retired by AT&T (Pension eligible) which meant I was entitled to spend up to $500 for a retirement dinner up to 6 mos after off payroll date. It required that my boss pay for it on his corp. card. He kept making it difficult to coordinate because the dinner would take place outside business hours. I never got my retiremet dinner with my family and close friends.

T offered Voluntary only as of Friday and said "may" move to involuntary different #s for each yard

Actually... They had a parade for me today. And a Going Away Cake. Got a ton of cards wishing me well. Many of them with crisp $100 bills in them. We went to Giggly Bar for lunch. Tonight, I get to go to a 15 minute fireworks display in my honor. Just wondering if we all worked for the same AT&T?
