Bankruptcy. Pension fund gone, multiple lawsuits, government inquiries and all of the same as now, Randy collections his 274k a month watching his plan come to fruition.
CT&T. The C is for China. They will undoubtedly be bankrupt, I pray if you are even close get out while you still have a pension, despite what has been said before; your pension is NOT guaranteed.
No copper. Mainly wireless and some fiber. I think years ago, that's where they wanted to be by 2020.
AT&T today = AT&T 1999. Randall = C. Michael. Stankey = Dave Dorman. SBC acquired AT&T in 2005. It would not be difficult to imagine T being acquired by one of the tech giants within the next five years.
Bankrupt!
Transformed
Dallas
- TV services all but gone, maybe a streaming service
- Wireless mostly moved to prepaid, store employees hourly not commission
- Matched 401k lowered, along with college funding
- Customer Services across all channels directed to online or contracted call center
- Enterprise puts most of its eggs into Alienvault basket because of its high cost and low likelihood of customer use.
- 5G will be the biggest push for the consumer home market pillaging their existing wireline customers
Stank moves himself and his ego to hollywood and tmo buys wireless. The remaining assets sold off.
Sold to Verizon..
In a cloud of dust in my rear view mirror
When a company can't grow revenue, but instead depends on buying revenue through acquisitions, it usually ends badly.
DTV spun off
AT&T TV on the sc-ap heap
Most international assets sold or spun off
Pension frozen (401k only for everyone)
Dividend frozen or lowered
Budget for WOKE initiative increased dramatically
Debt still a burden
DirecTV long gone in 5 years. Only to acquire DISH later.
Look at the history of T's M&A activity.
DTV and Time Warner sold off for pennies on the dollar. They're back to being a wireless and limited fiber footprint Telco and looking for another company to buy for 3 to 4 times what it's really worth before selling it for pennies on the dollar.
Rinse and repeat ad infinitum.
It's all they really know how to do.
Who cares I mean really if att fell off the ends of the earth would it really effect anything we have other great companies more than willing to serve their poor customers.
surplused
I still cant get over how fast Randall squandered the money he inherited from Ed !!!
Prems all but gone or absorbed into a “MST Light” position just to deal with customers tv issues.
Regular MSTs doing business as usual but now with more customer interaction. Possibly managers cracking the whip on them more unless hired contractors help with the slack.
IHX still doing its thing unless the door to door soliciting blows up in their faces.
DTV might be getting it’s second wind if sold off by now.
HboMax finally on Roku/Amazon.
Att tv on life support or forgotten like Digital Life/Uverse.
5G? Mobility would have to guess at that.
Union? They’ve lost a lot of money with all the employees who have been let go and or retired. Just there for grievances...
Headquarters based in Malaysia
AT&T today is exactly where AT&T was in 1999. Bad things to follow.
Good question for the ENPS survey LOL
He!! and handbasket...
