Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Email: Retirement Savings Plan Warnimg from Newport Trust

I won't post the whole email but it is warning savings plan holders about the T share fund.

Makes me wonder if the know something we don't, like a dividend cut and T share tanking!

Dump yout T shares now if you are stupid enough to still have any! They are trying to warn you so you cannot sue them!

Ratty needs to go!
Stinky needs to go!
Zucher needs to go!
The Board of MisDirectors need to go!

Wouldn’t touch att stock with a ten foot pole. Did buy T-Mobile and it has returned like 40%. I will take that anyway.

@yjd+164mHa1M, re-allocation in 401K is a non-taxable event, why do you need to check cost basis?

The Att Sgit Debt Nl U/A. which is part of the bond fund is AT&T debt. It should not be affected by the stock price.

The matching portion of your 401k contributions go straight to the T fund regardless of your investment selections. You need to move it out periodically.

You mean the T stock fund.

The Federal Reserve is buying T's bonds, so they will continue to float. Like most programs the Fed has started, this will never stop. Sickening, but true.

Whoops. Just checked and the T 401K bond fund is up to 30.55% T bonds.

Att Sgit Debt Nl U/A. Using the employees 401K money to fund their buying binges. Should be illegal.

Don't forget to get out of the 401K bond fund too. 28% of the bond fund is dedicated to T bonds.

I reallocated away from T in the old 401K a couple years ago, glad I did. Absolute dog. So frustrating to see the gains literally everywhere else while the absolute best we can seem to do is be stagnant.

Well, everyone should've been moving their 401k company stock match out of that find all along. Now's probably not the best time to do that though, check your cost basis tab in fidelity and talk to an advisor if you don't know what you're looking at.

Storm clouds have been gathering on the horizon for a long time. This company is blowing money in the most irresponsible manner while at the same time bleeding customers to much stronger managed competitors.

People who lose their life savings staying invested with this company have been warned, repeatedly.
