Pension annuity payments + partial lump sum

If you start your pension benefit the day after being off payroll how long to get the 1st annuity check? I've hear the lump sum takes up to 60 days, I'm wondering if the annuity takes the same.

I believe you need to allow for about 1-2 months from the date you put in your request to the date of your effective pension (Monthly annuity payment) commencement date.

Fidelity will need time to process your request. The date you choose for your commencement date should be the date of your monthly annuity payments.

I elected the annuity option in March of 2019 with commencement date of June 1st of that year.

Good luck with your decision.

I got my lump sum check in the mail...yes the mail about 2 weeks after I retired.
That's a lot of $$$ to send through the mail. My pay checks were direct deposit. Go figure..... I got my 240 hrs of vaca check about a month later.

I retired on the 10th of the month and I got a prorated pension check at the end of the same month. I also got my VSP and leftover vacation and last paycheck all in one check.
