Cost reductions will also remain in focus for AT&T, John Stankey said on Wednesday. Some of those could come from further sales of office buildings. "I have been on the path of reducing real estate," and amid the pandemic his team was considering accelerating that shift, he said, calling the pandemic an opportunity to "move quicker" on certain planned changes. He concluded there is "a lot of opportunity" on the cost side, including at WarnerMedia.

We don't comment on or speak the truth either.

This is the only thing him and randy know about - marginalization. do they do anything to actually grow and get new customers. att is going to have to have many years of trying to get customers back - I know you will never get me back but good luck.
"Whoa, wait a minute. Including WarnerMedia? Does that mean he's considering selling the studio lot? That would be effing insane!"
Stank will sell movie theaters because everyone now has a home theater room with a giant screen and will stream new releases on HBO MAX at 780P and full two channel stereo.
Let me guess, outsource film production to Tech M/Accenture/IBM.
Mods!!
@ekl: Nah. It means Big Stankhole is smarter than any talent at WM so he'll be the one doing all the new entertainment programming, writing the scripts, directing the episodes, and starring in all the roles.
After all, a man as ruggedly handsome, intelligent, and superior as Stankhole doesn't need anyone else around. Just look at the resounding success of HBO Max!

Cost reduction in AT&T is saying this years budget is blown and all new work comes to
A screeching halt. In the 80’s that call happened in December, then November. In the 90’s it happened in October and September. In the early 2000’s it was August. Now they declare in July and June. How can that be? Poor planning or straight mismanagement? Now let’s think about what namesake company captained the vessel. In the 80’s (west coast) it was Pacific Bell. In the 90’s it was SBC. In the 2000’s it is the evil Dark Star SBC/ATT. Correlation is a shift from product and customer service to more product less customer service to financial greed and profits at any cost and zero accountability. Welcome to the new AT&T.
Imagine being loathed by virtually everyone in your company before you even start your new job as CEO. This guy is going to be a disaster, no matter how smart he is (or thinks that he is). This story has been played out many times before in corporate America and it never ends well.
Stanky knows more about real estate than anyone in the business. Now is the time to sell during the pandemic shutdown. Business are closing down and there will be a surplus of commercial real estate, in addition to business reducing their office footprint as they allow more people to work days at home.
This will ensure AT&T gets bottom dollar like on everything they sell.
