Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Layoff notification Dates in July for Scott Mair org

I have seen dates of 7/10 for SNL 7/24 for last day on pay roll.

If you are in Jon Summers group or now reporting to Jeremy Leg it will be later than that.

Percentages vary depending on group. I have see as low as 5% and as high as 50% (for levels 1 and 2)

General Managers less than level 5 are being cut at 40%. No idea what happens to level compression.

Level 5 and above is unknown.

Good luck to all.

Wait till all those laid off suddenly start getting marketing calls for HBO Max and AT&T 5G.

You know what to do!

The words Surplus and Lay Off are just Symantec’s. Both mean the same thing, “You no longer are wanted, please leave.” I think it is more like...See ya, Don't let the door hit you in the a**.

It is a Surplus—not lay-off.

Stankey and McElfresh, along with whoever will join them, must be doing a Virtual Circle Jerk (Via WebEx) to celebrate all of the mouths the company will no longer be feeding. Nevermind the customers they will continue to lose in the process...Stankey will just brush them off as being "not quality customers". He's only interested in those customers that are too stupid to comparison shop for services.

@bil , SNL = Surplus Notification Letter (email that tells you that you are getting laid off)

They are not planning on addressing AWG = Affected Work Group like prior layoffs. Your manager may communicate something to you all, but HR is strongly recommending not to communicate any news. So on 7/10 you get a letter telling you that AT&T is laying you off.

What is "SNL"? Are you writing that the Mair org won't notify effected people until July 10th?
