I managed to find out the the numbers have been given to the VP’s in ABS. We are to see retirement announcements tomorrow, and hopefully an Org structure this Friday. I do not know how many of what group in ABS, but I was told that it looks like about 8-9K Surplus.

Dear Jeff,

As you scan the pages of the lay-off site this evening trying to assess the impact you and your leaders have on the employees please take note of the two surveys that someone has graciously posted for your benefit. The results should be available this evening. Perhaps you can review these during the live Q&A session tomorrow.

Many of us have submitted questions for you and your staff to answer during past town halls but you folks always seem to run short on time. Though you promise to follow up with us about the unanswered questions we never hear back. Expecting the same tomorrow we thought about posting the surveys to give you some feedback on how well the information is being received. As you have admitted multiple times, you and your leaders recognize how stressful, etc this all is but you continue to ignore the ONE AND ONLY issue everyone cares about. WE ASK THAT YOU IMMEDIATELY DISCLOSE THE DETAILS OF THE SURPLUS. Remember when you took this job you spoke to us about transparency, etc. The ongoing town halls, all which contain nothing of interest, are in complete contradiction to your promise to be transparent. Time to step up and be the person you aspire to be.

Thank you,
The employees of ATT

Let’s take another perspective on all this great information that our visionary leaders have so graciously shared with us.

I fall into Scott’s organization but fail to understand how (if at all) the reorg / transformation impacts the work that I do. It got me thinking about all of you. I can see how Field Ops might see something because it looks like they were moved into a different org, but how about the rest of you?

Can you see how this transformation is going to change things for you? Make your work easier, more efficient, or whatever else you might feel it does for you.

Up vote if you do NOT see how it impacts you

Down vote if you see how this transformation impacts you

And AGAIN he talks about the 14 day window without any reference to the idea that departing employees know things and there isn't going to be remotely enough time to get any of it from them. Chaos awaits!

But to this dolt it's all just pawns on a chessboard so what does he care.

I have to admit I was surprised when McArsehole actually had a brief moment of honesty and acknowledgment of error, along with taking ownership of what was happening.

Of course, the surprise was short-lived because other than that there was absolutely no real information. Just a lot of corporate approved word salad to take up time with a lot of noise without saying a damn thing, followed by some back-slapping.

Wouldn't it have been refreshing for each of those alleged "leaders" looked into the camera and gave some specifics, like "group A will have a B% reduction, while groups X and Y will see a Z% reduction."

Nah. That would take courage and true leadership.

Instead, we're treated to a bunch of malarkey saying that the layoffs are not cost-cutting even though they've already admitted it was to reduce debt.

You got it wrong @xcb

Today is the viewing of a pre-recorded town hall that took place on Monday. Tomorrow we get to have a Q&A about the video we watch today.

As you know, we have recently experienced a downturn in client revenue, and have aligned our new business lines to meet our new objectives taking this into account. We are taking this action to adapt to the market with new products & processes. Unfortunately, this action means that restructuring with in your department is necessary due to a lack of work.

Due to this restructuring, we have come to the decision to eliminate positions within the organization. It is with deepest regret that I must notify you of your position being eliminated from the organization."

The importance of this pre-recorded town-hall is as useful as the TP I used to wipe this morning.

My predictions on the discussion will be:

20 minutes: BLM issues
9 minutes: Overall change to the business, growth opportunities in various markets
1 minute: Layoffs , and thanks everyone for joining.

Patience. It’s coming. Keep a watch if you email at the top of the hours. That is the most likely time that they will hit the send button.

Leave it to the incompetents at the top to screw up the release of a pre-recorded video.

This is the perfect example of just how dysfunctional, inept, and unconcerned the top brass is.

The only thing more insulting than a "town hall" is a f-ing PRE-RECORDED town hall. Who would even dial in to something like that!
