Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

AROE Stankey ... Goodbye Bargained Retail Employees!

The end of the line is here for our 20,000+ union retail employees. Our Authorized Retailers now have AROE (AT&T Inventory in their stores) and they’ll be able to carry enough inventory to help customers get phones through all 4 phases of ATTR store closures and turnovers. Thank you to the RSMs who volunteered to train and set up their inventory rooms. Now grab your box, you’re canned too!

This is only the beginning. Expect many more layoffs through the end of the year.

You’re right about the plan OP but wrong about the RSMs volunteering, we got assigned to go to help train these people on how to receive inventory, phone counts etc. Told us we had to stay 8am-9pm each day per their “legal contract with ATT) or some nonsense like that. I, however, refuse to train other people to take my job, so I was able to get out of it with a few PTO days. Although it is true- most stores will be AR, leaving only high profit and Flagship for ATTR. And yes, people are already losing their jobs, and I for one feel nothing but relief I’m losing mine. Stinks to lose a job in this economy and the pay is good but I’m over it- done. I do feel bad for those with families who thought they had a future here, and I do wish the best of luck to all affected.
