Retail Closings *What You Need To Know*

Looks like a lot of stores that are closing were just recently opened or not performing. You can look at MyResults and see what locations are still not open post COVID to get an idea. Run historical on their numbers - it makes sense.

RSCs - get the option to work from home or take severance (amount is located in union handbook). They can also choose to apply for other RSC openings at other locations and seniority will matter.

ASMs/RSMs - Are surplussed with the opportunity to apply for other positions. (Tenure does NOT matter. It’s first come first serve based on qualifications.) Severance amount has not been shared.

A lot of COR is working with AR to take over leases/purchase locations. This will help free up the monthly bills for the company. It’s a smart move.

Lastly, this is not over. There will be more closings. Personally I hope they close a few in metro areas, so we stop syphoning our own business.

i forgot to add as well that i am already maxed out in hourly pay that is why my pay wage is above the current CSR role but after a year if would be taking a pay cut if i choose to still be around.

it says that the RSC keeps their same pay wage even if its higher than the current CSR role wage. Plus your at risk commission weekly. for example if your pay wage is 803.50 a week plus your at risk 197.00 you'd be at 1000 and change for the week. which sums up to about 25.02 an hr. This is price protected for 1 whole year. After that you would be put at the highest CSR pay wage tier around 20 an hour with no compensation as that role does not have commission at the moment. This was explained to me by a HR rep who'm I emailed at the bottom of the job description email i received as a rep. Mobility black contract for me btw.

No, you won't get close to the same pay. Youll be around $16 to $17 dollars an hour. Also, Keep in mind they are trying to save more money.

I think it depends on your contract. My RSCs are in the Orange contract. They get to keep their base pay, plus an additional $197. per week (to make up for some At Risk). They’ll be going by the Cust Care Wage Table after 1 year, so could take a pay cut if they make over the top of the wage scale ( they got an email today with all the details). As for severance it depends on your contract. My RSCs are Orange- all this info is in the union contract - it’s $700 or one weeks wages, whichever is greater) for each completed 6 months during their first year, plus $700 or payment equivalent to one weeks wages (whichever is greater) for each year of service after that, not to exceed $18,000. 30K a month in rent + employee costs when store isn't even clearing it's own rent is a problem.

If your store is busy/profitable you'll be fine. I would worry if you are SM1 or even a sm2 with very little traffic or closed due to covid because you are in a mall.
