No. Store closures are based on profitability and volunteering isn’t an option. If you want to quit then the reps/managers actually in a surplus can try to get your spot if you really don’t want to work there anymore.

Volunteer for severance???!? Nobody is going to hand you free money, people are being laid off. If you’re not, and you don’t like your job- quit.
I don’t think this is a stupid question at all, if someone had plans to quit anyway and because of Covid ended up staying a little bit longer but now wants to quit and take a small pay day that makes sense. Milk it for everything you can. Just cause a ton of ppl are out of work doesn’t means there isn’t work outside of att going on right now.

Why don’t you just walk out and get a job elsewhere you bum. I’ve been with the company for 15 years, started in your shoes... there are a ton of others who’d like your job.. ungrateful

No.
Probably not. They have to define an AWG: Affected Work Group, for each function/location they are reducing. If you're not in the AWG, then you are not eligible for the severance plan.
