WASTE OF AN HOUR I CANNOT GET BACK

No concrete information shared and was a pointless call and still streaming everyone along.

@mtn,

Easy for you to say as you're clearly craft. Managers are not going to have that luxury landing somewhere else within the company. It's already been said there will be no movement. You're out , you're out.

Just a bunch of whining going on here. I have had to go through these layoffs for over 19 years now. Sometimes twice a year. If your number is up it is up. If you get another job in the company then take it or not. Management is going to do what management is going to do. You do what you need to do. I have actually gotten pink slipped twice through this stuff. But I haven't missed a day of getting paid by att. Even took a lower position but didn't loose a dollar of pay. All jobs are a c-ap shoot anymore. There is no thing as job security.

What region and market is your store in that closed? Was your store previously closed due to COVID and just never reopened?

@tmac- RSCs in my area asked how much they’d get paid for the call center position. They said the same hourly as current and then something about another $197. a week extra to make up for the at risk loss of @$10,000/yr. Not sure if that’s all markets, they were vague and didn’t even have HR on the call. They said it’s like a CS1 (or something like that) orange contract. They said they’re waiving the 1 year time in tenure, meaning if you find another job in the company you don’t have to wait a year to apply. You can apply to RSC positions that open up before July 1, and they are supposed to give anyone affected priority and by seniority. Hope that helps, I heard the call, my reps had to keep asking the same questions over and over to get a real answer.

all they told us is that our store is permanently closed we'll get details on the new position on July 1st and have until July 2nd to confirm or deny the new position (or take the severance). No details on how much pay would be.

No news is good news quit your b–ching. I bet all of you complaining are service reps getting $33+ an hour to do half the work us leverage reps do which is helping you keep your damn jobs

Ridiculous how various executives implied that new, significant information would be shared in this webcast, and then there is not one shred of new information.

And the gall of wasting everyone’s time with this hogwash and not providing any information about the layoffs—keeping everyone in the dark about their futures and livelihoods.
