My store closed and I had the call today with several other reps and managers. We got offered Customer Service Rep position or take severance which depends on your contract. I’m taking this is a sign to just start looking at employment elsewhere. I know the job market isn’t the best right now but I’ll be preparing to get back into the market and get with a company that doesn’t constantly lay off employees.

I am sorry to be the one to have to break it to you, but your chances of landing another job internally are slim to none. Despite your supposed “preferred” status, you are actually the opposite, unless you have connections.

same here in the SW region. I need to look up what my severance could be. I don't want to continue working for a company with shotty management with no regard for their employees.
