D6 NIC contract here, I hope to hell they offer us the 50K, I am MR75 ready to rock.
There are some techs with 40+ years that are waiting for the new contract in April 2021. The new Pension numbers come out in late November-December and should be a better increase than the 50K buyout. Plus they will get 4 more years of Active Employee insurance for 4 years.
I hope you have enough seniority to get the offer. I bet if it’s true several people will take it maybe even some of the 30-40yr slugs.
I'm ABFS in District 6 and met MR75. If an offer is made then I am retiring.
Suppose to be similar to SE. $50k plus your voluntary severance. Will know how many they are looking for later this week. If not enough volunteers then surplus. This is for bargained for employees.
Im hearing June 17th. Information could start to be shared to the union tomorrow afternoon.
