Thread regarding DXC Technology layoffs

Sad to read, Clueless Bunch of Coconuts

I left DXC at the beginning of this year, I feel bad for the current employees to be treated this way and even tougher during a pandemic. I understand the need to pay the bills and health insurance. for your family. I felt that that management was clueless at the manager and VP level I was in sales, no game plan, reactive instead of proactive. Could not do anything unless you had several approvals, I saw that as sales prevention, managers don't even pick up tabs when you go out as a team, they scatter. I felt it was time to make a move and so happy I did, no place is perfect, but DXC is a clueless organization

I wish you well, stay safe

Mike "Big Al" Salvino and Steve "Fat Boy" Turpie ... two utterly useless individuals. The gang has not managed to put any positive moves on DXC in almost two years. They are super good at cutting skilled staff and destroying lives .. Maybe that is their mission in life?... if so, they are great at it.

They will sell the place sooner or later and pat themselves on the back as they reap rewards for producing absolutely nothing.

Sad to say that anyone hoping for a pay rise this year will need to delay their expectations by 12 months. Your productivity and avoidance of negativity will therefore allow New Mikey to receive a pay rise at your expense.

Arfur Daley and Del Boy lol, our Sales People need to learn some Sales Patter, enjoy lol.

Arthur on being a businessman
"You make contact with your customer. Understand their needs. And then flog them something they could well do without.”

Del Boy
"Don't worry, Rodney. This time next year, we'll be millionaires!"

"Asking a Trotter if he knows anything about chandeliers is like asking Mr Kipling if he knows anything about cakes."

"It's a well-known fact that 90 per cent of all foreign tourists come from abroad."

"Rodney, everything between you and I is split straight down the middle: 60-40."

The town halls were a waste of time. Similar to the pandemic press conferences here in the UK. Not sure if anyone else agrees but Mr Turpie just seems so robotic and out of touch. Same boring corporate garbage, thanking people for hard work. Why not thank people and show recognition by treating us like actual people?! I think he joined the company with naive optimism and has perhaps now realised he has bitten off more than he could chew. Classic error of over-promising and under-delivering. Just another guy in a suit spouting rubbish we don't need to hear.

Yep lot of hot air lots on town halls in a week, just shows we have too many layers all wanting to do a town hall to justify their existence.

Lots of talk of how well we are doing, lots of talk of strategy 3 tick boxes, the stack logo, pipeline etc.

No talk of pay rise %, and as the last person said not even bothering to discuss it in June so shows that it's not important, no talk of actual contract wins, actual book to bill is going below 1 so declining future turnover, means the sales people are useless.

A good salesman should be able to sell good or bad product. It would be down to the mis managers to sort out internal delivery if after any contracts have been won.

If the people on the calls are saying we are up with Accenture and IBM on skills then why aren't we selling, them sales people must be so lazy they need sorting out and if not replacing, thing we need more arfur daleys or del boys to raise the turnover.

You can tell by the language used on these town halls it's all spin. He is trying to create this mindset that we are all on a journey together and the outcome is going to be great. UK town hall today was a perfect example. All this congratulatory stuff about how we helping clients during COVID and how immensely proud they are but at the same time are they are so poor at communicating their message. Then he gets to the WFR conversation and proceeds to not answer any question but just complicates it further, I'm still no clearer what WFR impact is going to come. Does any one know? These guys would give the Tories a run for their money in the ineptitude World Cup

New Mikey is an id–t! Anyone attending the recent Town Hall would immediately come to the conclusion. He is so worried about bad press and people complaining that he has no time to run the business, I heard from someone close to him that he is obsessed with leaks and bad press!! You can bet your house that he is trolling this site to see what his employees think of him! Bottom line he is like an empty drum, makes a lot of noise but no substance!!

Heard that they still haven't worked out pay. They are "looking to do end of the month/July"

So can see that they have whole of June but not bothering leaving it to last possible time.

Same with sales, 9 months with this new management and still working on how to sell.

Not rocket science pay your people like yesterday and sell aggressively to win new business.

No point talking about these things and never getting round to doing them. Any bright spark can talk the talk, when are we going to see some action and progress?

Mike Sal should be kicking some .... to get things progressed, otherwise what are all these expensive managers actually doing?

Or is this ship being sunk, nothing clever needed to make this company profitable, pay staff, sell products!!!!!
