There is in fact a war exclusion. It has to be a “declared war.” Only Congress can vote/declare war-not a president or certainly not by public sentiment or opinion. Zero probability Congress would declare war on its own citizens.

There is a WAR exclusion on auto and HO policies. That would exclude coverage for acts of war such as invasion, insurrection, revolution, military coup and terrorism. Hopefully things don’t go so violent as to be considered acts of war, but anything is possible I suppose.

Yes, every standard HO policy specifically covers riot, vandalism and civil commotion. Comprehensive coverage in auto provides the same. There was a push, and ultimately a requirement to provide in the late 1960’s across the industry.

I dont think it is. There is an exclusion in the fire policies, not sure on auto.
