I'm being told that we currently have no orders forecasted for material to supply our lighting operations after July. Parts are being sold to other companies and the machines that make them are going with the parts. Lol those machines make up to hundreds of other parts too. So in my eyes, they are selling jobs because when those machines go, so do the operators.
Currently we have a huge backlog in FAB lighting because of a hiring freeze, the RIF, a merger of the Russell St plant and the 55 plant, several retirements within the last year, and the Golden Valley operation merge. If the parts arent made, then they dont get assembled into lights, and they dont make Honeywell money.
Here's the kicker. They are telling us all to do at least 55 hours a week till July 4th. A week before the RIF we were told to do NO OVERTIME WHAT SO EVER. They are going to pump us this month then dump us next month. 80 years Grimes was in Urbana doing lighting.
There are 2 people at the top I want to point fingers at. One got in over their head and hired the other one. The other is just about the biggest f— up and mistake Urbana has ever hired.
