Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

To the managers that were impacted by surplused in 2020

First of all, sorry, and hopefully a new door will open for you. Can you post where you were in your TSR (salary range)? Were you way above mid point, for example? Thanks

It is absolutely not performance based. An org is told they must cut x number of dollars. The org has the discretion to cut as many or as few as they need to hit that dollar amount.

Its not about your salary. Each manager ranks their employees and depending on how many people need to go they pick the people from the bottom ranking and work their way up.

Below midpoint , never bad performance, meet MR75 rule.

Wow, $187 is a lot. Maybe I’ll be safe at $50k less, and in top 10% Ranking.

Why wouldn’t you ask those questions? Why ask one data point that obviously isn’t material given numbers? And who cares. You are a troll.

Just trying to get a sense for who’s being targeted. Either it’s poor performance or age or salary or just a coin flip. Why asking that question makes you think I’m a troll, i don’t know but I’m not.
