my own fault but 20 years later, what a waste, can't get that time back. so many great companies doing great things and this titanic raked up 180B in debt by purchasing dead companies at a premium. unreal

yeah many folks stuck at this dump. it was easy to stay though wasn't it? sit around and watch the budget get cut, not do much or rework and still keep getting paid.
Hope you made good use of a couple of decades of good pay and good benefits. You really screwed up if you did not, and likely you will never learn your lesson.
I started in 1999 and I got tossed last year. 6 months before I could get my full pension.
Also started in 2000. Not sure I would have been off taking a different offer. Probably should have left last year instead of moving to a collab zone...cuz those are dead and my career is dead.
This outfit has always been a throw as much as you can against the wall and some will stick organization. Now there is a lot of stuff that did not stick and the cleanup is in progress. Thousands will be swept away as a result of poor management and years of false job justification by management

Hey bud, I'm in the same boat as you. Started my career here in 2000, and will probably get hit this year or during the next round. I can't complain about what T has provided me and my family, I just wish upper management could get their sh– together so none of this would be happening.
Well it's 2020 and I wish my career wasn't going to end, I got 10 more good hard working year in me, but I'm getting thrown out like yesterday fake news paper
