Thread regarding Allstate Corp. layoffs

APLT Business Office

Does anyone know how the APLT Business Office will be affected with the layoffs? The jobs in that area are frivolous and are not-essential.

I'm still waiting to understand what APLT does. Anyone, anyone? They're on some conference calls, but never know why they're there.

APLT is the technology arm behind the majority of Allstate’s sales and services including agency, consumer and call center technology.

I feel like I should know this but what's APLT?

The APLT business office has way too many middle managers. Believe me, I am an internal customer of APLT and all they do is send out a bunch of reports that no one looks at or cares about. I can list about 4 jobs in that area that could be deemed beneficial. And I can also list a few manager names that need to go.

That’s a bit harsh. They run a lot of enterprise efforts that no one else takes ownership of.
