Stop spreading this rumor. It is absolutely not true. They will only revoke severance if you apply for a job, get an offer for that job, and then decline it.
If a position is eliminated you get severance, period.
If a position is a lift and shift that is your new job.
You can't be made to apply to a new job, that would be illegal.
