Well, if I was L5 manager and got 2 years worth of severance the answer would be no. Being sole provider on L1 salary the answer would be YES.

Definitely have to sell the home. I have 10 years to go to pay for it, so i have built equity but no way can i make rest of payments. Plus I don't meet rule of 75, I am over 42 with 20 years experience, so also lose health care benefits. I expect to be cut in September or fourth quarter when Leg organization does its cuts. It is what it is. It has been a great ride, even if last 10 years has been a s***show. Desperately looking for openings on Indeed.
The average American is 3-4 missed paychecks from being homeless so the answer is yes for most. I’m sole provider for my family of 5 with a nice home. I make about $90k gross here. I could squeak by with $55k if needed but that would put off my retirement for another 15+ years and no college fund for my kids. This is definitely one of the worst questions asked on this site.
