I’m in TN and the engineer for my area told me yesterday that he’s being forced to another department/area starting 8/1

I haven’t heard of anyone in this latest round of layoffs. But C&E has been hit pretty hard over the last five years; there are very few engineers left compared to when I started 20 years ago. I know at least four of my coworkers plan to retire in the next few months. I have no idea how those of us remaining will handle the workload; everyone I talk to is burned out. FYI...I’m in California.

I’ll be honest. I thought they would have had a small hit in OSPE as there have been rumors for years of contractors taking on the design role.
