Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

CallCenter reps

What’s going to happen to us, the call center reps working from home. I am in the Minneapolis Bloomington area. Are we not affected?

WFH agents are basically IHX that doesn’t go to their house and gets paid substantially less. About 30-50 contacts a day that are all supposed to be sold more lines. Combined with low cost overhead, probably going to open up more positions, some of which will probably be permanent. Just my opinion though.

When you say call center rep working from home do you mean the program that was started for COVID? I thought that was ending on the 18th?

My RSCs were offered WFH call center jobs after our store closed, and there are actually open reqs for that same job, I honestly don’t know but if they’re hiring maybe you’re safe, or safe as can be, for now. Best of luck either way.
