Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

CHOW ORG

I was just notified by my supervisor that I am being affected. Last day on payroll is the 24th. I was not given the opportunity to go to another role. My supervisor did not go over anything in detail other than reading an email he forwarded me after. The email just had the Onestop severance package attached.

I was def shocked as I have always hit my bunbers and I was scored the highest rate possible on my end of year review 2 years in a row.

I am a level 1B Account Executive.

The one team member who I know personally is the only one who has responded and informed me that he will have a new role effective August 1st and he will report to a new supervisor.

I was not affected. Morning was cold. We had a meeting in the afternoon with vp and said not impacted. A few folks were affected. But no nothing from our supervisors to inform us. It was pathetic

Same here. Looking forward to moving on. HR does not seem adequately prepared, which is inexcusable.

Level 3 AM is confusing. It’s not an HR level. An internal business unit thing to create hierarchies and hold below into long cycles for pay raises.

Sorry to hear about your loss of employment. What org within national business are you guys in? 1B account executive fiber? Or acquisition?

Sorry to hear of your situation. The Company makes the process cold as you are excommunicated. In management it’s a who you know and who you below (lose the e). Upon notification it’s amazing how your Boss, once engaging a personable has become matter of fact and cold. Best of luck, hope you land on your feet.

My dept under Saxena had minimal cuts and no call to tell us we survived like in past years...unless next week’s useless town hall is it. Have a feeling there will be more surplus days in the coming days and weeks.

My org is a business unit in chow. 20% job cut occurred today in 3rd level. Same % cut happened today in 2nd level. All decent folks. all have been notified. Sad. Survivors joined call this afternoon to tell them they survived this cut. Now work hard until next round. T stock up 2% today. Life goes on, none of us is a critical cog in the wheel. Best of luck and happiness for those at&t families impacted today.

Vpb: what state is OP in? A state of despair. Show some compassion. This could have been you, and may be next time.
