@Boeing Dude Bro: best plane on the market? Riiiiigggghhhtttt..... it's the plane that's been grounded for almost two years right now. You can thank id–tic management within Boeing for that one. Airbus made a better plane and was flying first, Boeing lost that race and cobbled together a c-appy version of the very good 737NG and still messed it up.
I don’t care if a 737 classic uses more fuel I just want to get my destination in 1 piece

The A320neo (Neo standing for New Engine Option) is a new engine on an old A320
It is NOT a new clean sheet design. But facts don't matter to you do they, just a good narrative. I won't argue that Airbus did a better job of it with respect to entry into service and safety, butnitnwas not a clean sheet.

“Shhhh! Instead of spending a little more than we should have on R&D on a newer, more modern BETTER design, we cut corners ( costs ) by hiring cheap overseas software labor, thus ensuring our upfront dividends & executive bonuses would continue... but shhhhh..... it’s a better airplane 😉”
“...... now, the fact that the design with the bigger engines made it tip down in flight thus necessitating software & sensors to correct it so it flies right, ummmmm..... shhhh....., it’s the best plane! Got that?”
RIP? HAHA CANT RIP THE BEST PLANE ON THE MARKET
“The Max airplane is superior to the ...[version of the] 737 that we're currently operating. It burns less fuel. It's an excellent airplane. And certainly in this environment, we would love to retire some of our older aircraft, avoid some expensive maintenance and a substitute with the newer airplanes."
