Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Stankey's new video today

Spent 43 minutes watching Stankey new video. He repeats the same themes. He talked about need for a flat organization that can respond to new market events. He talked about Bill Morrow id–t contractor and 50 transformational areas. He talked more about media side than telecom side. I wonder if he even understands details about 5G. I now know I am much younger than him but am in jeopardy. I am 48 with 24 years of experience, and work under Jon Summers, but now I am in jeopardy (Brickhaus org) while he is close to 60 and a many times a millionaire. I hate this man when he talks garbage about closing stores, or getting rid of my union brothers and sisters by talking about self installations of garbage AT&T TV. Good luck to everyone of my management and union brothers and sisters this Friday.

Stank has gone Hollywood, lights, camera, action! And... he thinks people will watch his videos and like it. Unlike your hollywood agent and direct report yes men (women), we are not going to kiss your a–. So much of the directive for not burning bandwidth on VPN with videos, let's play them 24x7 on mute :).

I know a person working for BP that will soon be going through the same fiasco. The difference is, the company polls every single employee across the board many months prior and asks them if they would be willing to voluntarily leave the company based on the current offer. After the information is returned and compiled, BP then determines where the additional cuts if any, need to be made. It's far more humane than the way AT&T does it, no rhyme, no reason, just across the board ruthless, painful cuts!

I hear you, OP except on one thing. Our fellow union members are brothers and sisters but union leadership is such a scam it is unbearable to pretend otherwise. After negotiations they actually go out to dinner with management and eat and laugh and then come back to the table pretending to be adversarial. Such BS.

Best of luck to each and everyone of you.

There. Is. No. "Together". They only use that word if they want you to hang in there until the next stupid move comes from them. If this was truly 'TOGETHER', Stankey should be the first one to leave, and take his gullible minions with him. He is the only accountable underperformer in this company. It was all his to make it great for the last 14 years working behind the scenes, but he bought every half-dead horse and then made it even worse. Never understood anything about the market or the companies he bought. All about glitzy awards. Never about what matters most. Forget emotional IQ if there is no executive IQ.

Your union brothers and sisters? The union has drained this company dry. Well, the union and the big chiefs. Anyone in the middle just has to reap the whirlwind. Good luck to all of you on Friday. And next month. And the month after that.

I heard he also said Max needs 60%+ penetration to be profitable?

If so, he's basically admitting it will never be so. No way this service gets to that kind of market share - ever. Especially not under this management. They've completely broken the company - any analyst recommending this stock to people should be sued for malpractice.

This is so much worse than I thought.

All his togetherness talk is intended to keep the cash cows calm as they are led to the slaughter. He doesn't think we know about Friday.

Typical Corporate drivel. If you really want to find out what's going on, listen to their earnings calls with investors it's the only time they're sort of honest about intentions.

I refused to watch any video and instead just immediately deleted the email.

I'd rather chew on razor blades than have to endure Stinkhole.
