I don’t know of any other companies who use Evaluation Consultants in claims. Everyone else delegates adjusters a blanket authority based on their level, and if more is needed they go to their managers who in turn have to seek additional authority from directors. Evaluation feedback is done by round table.
IMHO, the ECs don’t really know what they’re doing and aren’t needed.
I hear not many companies do, but that could be seen as an edge over competition. Plus, if the company goes down managers and increases the span of control, are they also going to give the remaining casualty managers that responsibility for authority? Lots of them have never been on a rep/lit desk and got put on the fast track without having the technical skills. If you think you’re hearing about severity now..
While the opportunity is okay it is NOT the way I want to live. They did it before they’ll do it again. I don’t want to go through this another time. You lost my respect in total.
