“I wonder what the actual goal is for headcount”

Simple enough to figure out. C-Suite only. The rest the work will be contracted out. That the long term plan. Prove this wrong.

"I am Level 2 Mgmt. No DR. Under Chow.
We have been told absolutely nothing. The only info we get is from the town halls that don’t provide any specific details.
Our AVP has been in a foul mood and has nothing to say. July 10th lay-off rumor for us is just a rumor. I am so tired of this."

I am in Chow. Friday, July 10th is D-Day for L1 - L4. This IS happening!

From reading this website sounds like my org is the only group that hasn’t been talking about getting axed. Maybe working from home has put me wayyyy out of touch. Good luck to all.

I wonder what the actual goal is for headcount because you know leadership at some level has set a goal they want to achieve by a certain date. Is it 175K, 125K or even under 100K total employees in the next five years.

We’ve gone from around 300K to 240K and seem to have layoffs every quarter these days so it’s plausible if you cut 10-15% every year.

McEldick also said the reductions in headcount would be “significant”

Whatever that means....

I wonder how many people work in his down line? I thought McElfresh said layoffs would be targeted this time. So no even spread percentages of layoffs. Maybe one group has no one impacted then another team 10% while another has 20-30% reduction in headcount.

We are all in the same boat. By keeping people in the dark, I would wager they were hoping some of us would die off from high BP, or with the 2 weeks, k–l ourselves since we being released into the worse job market since the depression. I wish the best to everyone.

It’s true that most L2’s and above aren’t saying a word right now, if your boss is being open about Friday they are probably retirement eligible or just don’t give a c-ap at this point. Glad some managers are being open with their people though, I wish my boss would tell me what the heck is going on. It is a little creepy how quiet things have been all week though. Normally I’m on calls and meetings everyday but the old calendar is empty all week. My boss has been quiet as a mouse since last week with our entire work group

To He02m- I’m not your enemy here, chief. I just wanted to know where he heard it from. Chill out, I’m likely in the same boat as you

My manager told me we’d be impacted for whatever that’s worth, I assumed every group was in the mix this time. Good luck to everyone Friday. I keep wondering how many times I can dodge the bullet with these layoffs

I work in an internal business group that is likely considered a good candidate for quick 25% usa job chop, yet my director or avp haven't said jack to any of us about the 10th or any other date or plan. Total blackout to me and my peers from the 2 levels above us. No, I'm not surprised by this. We all know there are already t contractors outside usa waiting to take on our work. Good luck with that. Will take at least 3 to replace each 1 of the current survivors who now work hard, and the knowledge will be gone this monday if call comes this friday. Which group am I in? No way I'm going to say here. T has paid me now for years and I have no right to gripe. Life goes on.

All BS NDA covers this action and VP and AVP are not talking because of the NDA’s who cares at this point know what you have made, 401k, Pension lump sum and severance. If you haven’t looks at it and aren’t prepared then you need to go. At this Point either way is fine with me. After 15 years and major sales if they want to let me go fine. I’ll go seek somewhere else that respects multi-million dollar deals. There is a lot of money out there and life is by no means over for those who sell. This has gone on too long and the damage is really done. People are feed up with this process. Bring it on!!

@ikx “Sources?”

Seriously? If you haven’t been told by your AVP or Director by now about the surplus announcement on Friday you’re either a dipshit, the one getting let go or maybe both.

Do you think this is some made up conspiracy? Leadership has openly said deep cuts are coming in July. Directors and Area Managers have already submitted rankings and input to HR. The calls are coming on Friday. My boss knows how many he’s going down in each group.

“Sources?” ..... f— yourself

Our Director told us we will lose 1 second line manager end of the week. I talked to few friends today and they are getting similar news as well but not everyone knows exact numbers, some AM’s don’t even know who they are losing just that it will be 1 or 2 or 3 but Human Resources is making the call.

My team is going down two people or about 10%

Boss told us last week that we’d get the call on Friday the 10th as well so everyone is just waiting to see who still has a job after the 24th
