Thread regarding Allstate Corp. layoffs

KEEP THIS FORUM CLEAN FOR OUR SAKE

Can we please keep this section of the forum clean for those Allstate employees that are seeking true answers that managers are failing to provide?

I’m an OP from another highly viewed topic in this forum that held some crucial information about the assessment coming up. I come back now to see this entire section muddied down with mindless babbling.

This week is set to roll out some crucial information that I’m sure, more than just myself, would like to cascade down to everyone. But don’t bog this section of the forum down with mindless junk!

Be as patient as you possibly can. There are still some good people at Allstate that want to get info out properly!

I guarantee the OP is some mid level manGer that has been doing the minimum for the last 20 years and coasting into the next promotion by saying similar s#!+.

If you are one of the “layoffs” can you still draw unemployment or do you have to be fired to draw it.

To the poster below who said they’ve already heard if their job is safe... what department/ role are you in? I’m having a hard time believing that

So, performance is 60%, skill set 35% and tenure is 5%. Performance is from 2018 and 2019 PDS. What'sthe purpose of the assessment? How much weight is based on the outcome of assessment?

I’m too depressed to work my butt off like I have been doing. I don’t think it’s going to make a difference as nothing is counted from 2020 from what I have heard.

Does anyone feel like working their butts off not knowing if they will have a job in a couple of weeks! I don’t and won’t.

I've already heard from my leader who will not be let go. They will notify others later who will be let go and with assessments. If you have not heard from your leader or manager by the end of the week if your job is safe then there's a good chance all of you are being eliminated or receiving an assessment. And also your manager has no idea either because their job isn't safe.

Vent to co-workers? Not on your life. I learned that lesson at my last review.

This is a public forum where we can say what we want. My goodness! Allstate doesn’t own this forum so... Let us vent. If it makes people feel better to get things off their chest because they’re genuinely afraid let them! Not everyone has a two income household or the opportunity to sit back relax and think about pursuing their lifelong dreams after this or are young enough to look elsewhere. There is an official meeting and company emails that will allow for official communication about what’s going to happen. This forum allows for people to vent what they can’t or don’t feel comfortable talking about to peers or anyone else. So let us vent! Geez

No doubt it’s been a botched handling, but let’s move on from that and figure out how to be productive and efficient with our decisions moving forward.

Vent to your coworkers. Majority of what’s been posted on here is c-ap you can pick up the phone and vent with your direct peers. I think we all agree and share the same opinion that we’re frustrated with the people up top and the handling of all this change. You don’t need someone across the country in another MCO to validate your feelings.

I agree. Your prior post was right on with the types/names of assessments as well as the time lines. And you provided the info before our transparent leaders. Appreciate the info and heads up on what to expect.
