Does anyone sense any panic or concern by these guys this week or has it been business as usual with only L1/L2 being deleted from the business?
Are the 3/4/5 levels as concerned as 1&2? Just wondering what other folks sense.

@2snp - what orgs??? I believe the numbers are going to be high over the next few months, but what orgs on Friday? The stress every week is exhausting....
Massive layoffs of L1s & L2s this week. The most significant surplus event AT&T has undertaken.
As previously noted, VP’s are already either gone or on the way out.
It is not true that AVP’s are safe. Lots of them will receive notice on Friday.
VPs and AVPs for the most part are safe!
What level (2?) is a lead architect? From reading the previous text it is GM (level 4) Does notmake sense.
Directors will be let go or demoted for the most part- if an AVP is in their org that isn’t retiring or moving. I know a few good managers and directors who are top ranked, hard working and really care about their people who most likely will be affected this week. Good luck to all.
My director has been with t since the beginning of time. He has no clue what's happening to him, me, or anyone else in this. He says he's never been this clueless in a t cut. His neck on block as much as mine it appears. His span of control is already way too few, but that applies to every other director peer of his in group. They could cut 1/2 of our directors and then only be at decent span of control numbers in group. This one gonna be deep.
40% of directors and AVPs will be surplussed. What is funny is that AVPs are telling VPs which directors to fire, and almost all AVPs will remain with company reporting to current VPs. It is possible that once the directors are gone, the position of AVP and Director becomes one (just Directors, no more AVPs). No demotions for directors are planned, just surplus (they have to go). The AVPs are mostly clueless. At least directors are closer to people doing real work.
Also all other individual contributor GMs (lead architect and lead project manager) types will be demoted.

5th levels are VP’s—some took a MVO, with two years’ severance, and some have been laid-off—either way, everyone down to that level has already been taken care of.
4th levels (AVP’s) and below will be hit this week.
I’d assume everyone is concerned due to span of control if the lay-off numbers turn out to be large as everyone is predicting. I’ve already seen territories for 3rd level managers double or even triple. Sounds like this Friday will be a mass casualty event. Also know of few3rd and 4th level managers leaving the company in June prior to any reductions, one can only assume they could see what was coming and found another job.

Not a director but I know some who are very uncertain. And, they don't know when they'd be whacked. Their L1s/L2s are getting informed Friday but they're not sure if it applies to them. As implied in the other post, they also don't know if they'll later get laid off or demoted due to wider spans of control.
I am a director. I expect to be whacked at the same time as L2's due to span of control. This event is huge. Fuetsch org.
