Thread regarding Allstate Corp. layoffs

Employee discounts

If we leave, has anyone heard when we lose our employee discounts? Is it the day we are off the books? I want to have my business moved to a different carrier but it may be more expensive with any employee discount that we currently have. Has anyone heard anything??

I hope this helps all of you that would like to shop their property and casualty insurance in their respective regions of the country. I have found this study to be very helpful when picking an insurance company. Remember, being the biggest insurance company does not make you the best insurance company. Moreover, when you look at many of the lists upside down, Allstate comes in first place!

I also wonder why Allstate does not take these results seriously and try to achieve doing well in the survey? After all, they are one of the highest priced carriers on the street. They could back up their pricing model if they achieved great scores in the JD Power Insurance Study.

You will be in for a pleasant surprise at how much cheaper the other rates are

Yeah I just got a quote and between my house and my car I will save almost $1200 a year! I mean my car alone is close to $900 a year less! Granted I lowered a few coverages since I am not driving much, but that's insane. No wonder Allstate is losing market share.

I always justified the higher premiums because I believed in the company. Not so much any more

Allstate’s 10% discount couldn’t even compete with Geico in my area. Shop around, find a company with better claims service. Not good to mix personal with business anyways god forbid you had to take action against the company you work for if you have a claim.
