Thread regarding AT&T layoffs

Has AT&T managed to cut its way to profitability yet?

When I left five years ago, they were still trying to do that... How's it working for them?

AT&T is only cutting the jobs that are no longer needed. Making the company better and stronger.

The numbers don’t lie, you might not like the debt or leadership or the long list of bad decisions but the numbers don’t lie. This company makes money and yes these cuts will impact the bottom line.

Investors talk, like AT&T's Dividend history payout is guaranteed as future payouts, but..
AT&T is far from the company they used to be, and with that the first sign of a value trap can be when you see us paying a much higher dividend yield than its peers. When you see something like this, don’t just accept it at face value. Take a closer look. Question whether the company has the ability to meet its obligations, and if it is being run in an efficient manner. If the stock price continually drops, ehich it will, the high yield was just a trap.

The dividend is still big and beautiful and that is all that matters oh and this monopolized government contracts.

Total ignorance. Do you not know how to interpret basic financial data. AT&T is highly profitable - always has been. Now perhaps with debt, bad acquisition decisions, way too many unnecessary employees, bureaucracy, etc., that may change someday. But to suggest that AT&T is - or has been - unprofitable is absurd.

AT&T IS A PONZI SCHEME, PAYS 65% NET EARNINGS AS DIVIDENDS, NO GROWTH, JUST DEBT
