Sales Department Impact?

Does anyone know if the sales department will be impacted? Especially in regards to those Esurance employees who are slowly being transitioned to Allstate?

Yes, the direct sales division has been impacted. On January 1, 2020 Tom Wilson cut agency revenue by $350 million a year. This is having an impact on agencies and their ability to staff the agencies. The people that staff the agencies are not employees of Allstate. They are employees of the agency owner. Do the math $350 mil divided by 10,000 agencies is resulting in a loss of significant amount of people that service The ALLSTATE CUSTOMER.

They are estimating that 3700 jobs in the "Transformative" growth plan that will be lost. Allstate is going from 14 to 4 regional offices. All of this will result in less support to the Agency sales system. Mr. Wilson and Glenn Shapiro have put all their chips in the less profitable direct sales organization. As stated by the Allstate Annual Reports from the last 10 years, the direct sales organization has never made a profit for the company.

Contrary to what Tom Wilson has told the media, ESURANCE is NOT going away. It will be Allstate's version of their non-standard auto insurance. People with no prior insurance are being encouraged to get a quote from Esurance and Not ALLSTATE direct or Allstate Agencies. However, some Esurance employees will loose their jobs or be absorbed by Allstate.

Major internal announcements will take place next week in the agency channel. The people that are being asked to leave will find out their fate next week.

These are not opinions they are facts.
