Att is just corrupt I had fiber to my house and the speeds were great for six months and they dropped down to cable speeds and no way was going to spend time on the phone with support. Life and my budget are so much better without att and their billing and false promises.

If AT&T so desperate why do they provide Randall such an outrageous pension. Ding, ding, ding, keep loyal, hardworking frontline employees and reduce his and other overpaid management pensions. The frontline carries the company. They delegate!

@uev+15JXV7wT an outsider for CEO doesn't necessary make it a good thing when it comes to layoffs. Look what happened at VZ when an outsider came in. True, the offer was voluntary (10,000 employees), but there was also a concurrent outsourcing of over 2500 IT jobs. I think you will see retail gutted in the next year as well. When it comes to the commitment to the shareholders to reduce expenses, it's always the employees who pay, no matter who the CEO is.

The American people should rally to get their tax dollars back from the HUGE tax cut AT&T got. They were not supposed to layoff folks. I’m all for right sizing, though. I knew lots of employees that had stayed beyond their usefulness and almost c-apped in their pants if they had to speak to a customer. I

I honestly don't know why stank would even try. He told wall street there will be dramatic cost cutting and then sends these long winded spin emails that no one in the right mind will believe. With massive cuts and the 3 year plan has revenue growth in 1-2%, you can do the math on how successful the company will be. The transformation is nothing but lip service, keep paying dividends at the cost of employee jobs and lame attempt at keeping his job before Elliott sends another round of public humiliations.

The big problem is cutting jobs to save money. If we don't continue to build our fiber network we will never get it built. We can't make money if we continue to loose customers to competitor's because we don't have fiber available. Wireless for tv and internet is a joke Verizon tried it and failed cell signals just don't penetrate houses well enough to get a reliable service especially in the winter and bad weather.

They say there are no jobs, so we are cutting managements time off payroll from 60 days to 2 weeks, yet I receive daily emails of new jobs being posted. How does that make sense.

The leadership of this company is completely clueless of how the real world works. Top leadership has been brown nosed for so long that they believe themselves to be infallible gods as opposed to the complete losers that they truly are.

These people assume that the employees of this company are as brainwashed and happy to serve them as the brown nosers with their nasals permanently impaled in Stankey's rectum.

The unfortunate reality for the rest of us living in the real world is that we are total burnt out with this BS and completely demoralized.

That's why we need an external CEO. The concept of yearly layoffs as a solution is now impregnated in the T culture. The only way to get rid of that mentality is to look outside, somebody capable and a true leader looking forward not back.
